Are you 14 years old + and considering a career in the leisure industry?

We are pleased to be able to offer our SHOKK Assistant Module, in conjunction with Active IQ.

SHOKK Assistant Module is one of our ‘life-skills’ qualifications at Level 1 on the Qualifications and Credit Framework.

This 2 day Award has no pre-requisite and is designed for candidates completing Key Stage 4 (from 14 years of age) and volunteers who are considering a career in the leisure industry.

Delegates will achieve the knowledge and skills required

Planning an Activity Session

The aim of the unit is to provide delegates with the knowledge of the principles of fitness, the effects of training has on your health and the principles of planning an activity session

Assist in Delivering an Activity Session

The aim of this unit is to provide the delegates with practical knowledge of how to assist in the delivery of an activity session with reference to communication,

SHOKK’s extensive range of equipment can be incorporated into the assessment for this qualification including our SHOKK Gyms, Dancemats, Target Wall, Traverse Wall, Box-of-Trix Activities and X-Treme Balance Boards.

Please note: A basic level of numeracy and literacy is required for this award. The 2 days can be broken down to suit your facilities working operations (either back to back days, day 2 can be completed a week after day 1 or days can be split into 4x 4 hour sessions). Content of the course can also be made bespoke to your environment and equipment using various blended teaching and learning styles.
